With over twenty years of public service, Consuelo has held essential roles in shaping key initiatives in community development, planning, and zoning. This session will delve into her personal background and work experience, offering valuable insights for anyone interested in leadership positions.
Consuelo is passionate about serving the public and is an experienced professional leader in the public sector. Consuelo has a master’s degree in urban planning and policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She actively participates in professional affiliations, including the Municipal Design Review Network, Legacy Project, American Planning Association, Local Government Hispanic Network, and Women in Planning and Development. Currently, she serves as Committee Chair of the Municipal Design Review Network Advisory Committee and is the Assistant Community Development Director for the Village of Addison.
